You have a good idea, but now what? In Rhetoric and AP Language, Dr. Moe and Ms. Anderson help their students understand how to speak convincingly by considering the perspective of their audience. Students analyze speeches and present their own ideas in front of their peers.

Think you could find the area of a soccer field in standard units using just your feet? Eighth graders at Twin Peaks can. In Mr. Bernard's class, students pace the length and width of the field walking heel to toe. We then trace their shoes and measure the length of a shoe. Converting steps to cm, then cm to m, we determine the length of each side in SI units and calculate the area.
