A reminder to our families as you are preparing for our return to school...Twin Peaks provides your school supplies are part of your student fees! Students need to bring a backpack (you can pick up a free one at Open House if you'd like), a water bottle, and a pencil pouch. All other necessary supplies will be waiting for you on the first day of school!
Please welcome Mr. Beamis and Mr. Simcoe as our new school security officers. They will be familiar faces around our campus as they are helping to protect our students. We are proud to be one of the most highly protected schools in the area and this team helps make that happen! Watch this video for a brief introduction and explanation of their role.

A big welcome to Mr. Lyle, joining Twin Peaks as our secondary Latin teacher.
Curtis Lyle graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with degrees in Linguistics and Classics, specializing in ancient languages. While working as a tutor after graduation, he discovered his love for teaching and returned to school to become certified as a Latin language educator. In his free time he enjoys game nights with friends, homebrewing beer/mead, and an eclectic variety of odd projects and creative pursuits.
Welcome, Ms. Jennings!
My name is Julia Jennings. I am elated to be one of your second grade teachers this year. A little about... I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 30 years. We have 3 wonderful children, James, Katie, and Emily. We also have two dogs Harvey, a Vizsla and Lucy, a yorkie shih tzu mix. We live in Erie.
We moved here 6 years ago from my hometown, El Paso, TX. I taught in a little school district near my home for 10 years, before moving to CO in 2005. We decided I would stay home with our children, so I put my teaching career on a temporary hold. We moved back to El Paso in 2010, where I continued to stay home with our children. We had the opportunity to move back to Colorado in 2016. When we came back, our children were older, so I decided to go back to work outside our home. This led me to Spark!Discovery Preschool. I worked there for 5 years as a paraprofessional, the last 2 years in the special needs classroom. As much as I loved what I did at Spark! I knew I wanted to get back into teaching. The opportunity to work at Twin Peaks became available so I jumped at it! I am thrilled!
Besides enjoying time with my family, I enjoy music, reading, golf, movies, being outside, camping, cooking and baking.
Welcome, Ms. Zimmer!
Hello! My name is Jen Zimmer and I am very excited to join the 4th grade team at Twin Peaks! After teaching 4 years in Jeffco, I am happy to continue my career at Twin Peaks. I have taught Kindergarten, first, and second grade, and look forward to fourth grade! Our two boys are also joining Twin Peaks in fourth and fifth grade. I am a Colorado native and grew up in Broomfield and began my family and career in Westminster. We just moved to Firestone and we love it here! We love spending time with our 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 bearded dragons, 1 leopard gecko, 1 gargoyle gecko, and 1 box turtle. During our free time, our family loves to read, play/watch sports, play board games, explore new places and things, and break out of escape rooms.

Help us welcome Ms. Starks to our community as our sixth grade math teacher!
Hello! My name is Sam Starks and I am so excited to join the Twin Peaks community! This year will be my seventh year teaching after working six years in Westminster. I have taught every grade level from first grade to middle school math! I can’t wait to meet everyone and have a great year.
When I am not at school, my boyfriend and I root for the Avs, add more fishies to our ever-growing tanks, and go on adventures around Colorado. I love to paint, read, figure skate, and learn new hobbies.
Help us welcome Ms. Carpenter to Twin Peaks!
My name is Erin Carpenter and I'll be starting my first year at Twin Peaks as the Secondary Choir and Theatre teacher. Prior to moving to Colorado, I lived in Alexandria, VA and worked for two years as an elementary music teacher in D.C. public schools. Additionally, I worked as a freelance musician in the DMV area. My time as a freelance musician ranged from working as a vocal mentor for the National Children's Chorus DC Chapter, to singing alongside other professional musicians at the Baltimore Basilica and the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in DC. I have two sisters, as well as a nephew and niece back in Maryland that I love to spoil! Since moving to Colorado, I have loved exploring local parks as well as going hiking with my eight month old puppy, Terra. I can't wait to get started at Twin Peaks!
