On Thursday, January 19, our Elementary school held their awards assemblies. We do these assemblies at the start of each semester to recognize student accomplishments over the course of the previous term. This is a great way to recognize the hard work our students are doing and encourage them to keep striving for great character and academic success!
There are three kinds of awards students can earn: the Timberwolf Award, the Twin Peaks Award, and the Honor Roll Award. The Timberwolf Award is given for demonstration of strong character over the course of the term, and the Twin Peaks Award is given to students who have shown academic improvement over the course of the semester. The Honor Roll Award is given to students in 4th and 5th grade who achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher over the course of the term.
We always enjoy these opportunities to cheer on our students in their pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness in both their acquisition of knowledge and development of their character! Way to go, Timberwolves!
