*Students who were absent for the original picture day will need to have their picture taken in order to appear in the yearbook. They may use their original order envelope or pick up another from the school office.

*Students Who Want to Retake:
Students who want to retake their pictures, can bring their entire picture package to the photographer. The photographer will retake the picture and we will reorder the package that was originally ordered.

Twin Peaks high school students had a great time visiting colleges on Wednesday. It was the fifth year of our College Visit Day tradition, with the whole high school visiting one of four college options. This year, we visited CU Boulder, University of Denver, Regis University, and Metro State. We enjoyed learning about the colleges and spending time together on the beautiful campuses.

This year, we were especially excited to see some alumni, including Alexis Reyes at Regis University. She shared with our high schoolers that her transition to college has been very smooth because she learned how to study in high school. Alexis was first introduced to Regis several years ago on College Visit Day!

We brought frisbees and hacky sacks along with us to give our students a taste of college fun during lunch. They had a great time, and I'm so proud that they would rather engage in real conversation and play than be on their phones. Twin Peaks parents and teachers, you're helping to prepare our students to live well and joyfully!

Kindergarten and First Grade got to spend the day talking to the Longmont Fire Department about fire safety! They also enjoyed checking out the fire truck!

Good evening, Timberwolves.

I want to thank you all for today. A controlled release of students was certainly unexpected and not on my bingo card for October, but I greatly appreciated your patience and kindness in a stressful situation. There was a power outage in the neighborhood which caused an issue with one of our HVAC units. The malfunction caused some damage and a burnt smell was then infiltrating into the building on the secondary side. The fire department was there rapidly and we determined that in order to identify the actual issue and make the necessary repairs, we needed to evacuate students. Staff and students were fabulous and followed all of our training to get outside quickly and safely. When we received word it would likely be several hours until we were cleared, we made the decision to send students home.

Our building has been cleared for use now and we are ready to welcome everyone back as normal tomorrow morning! We will open doors at 7:45AM tomorrow to allow a few extra minutes for students to retrieve belongings from their previous class and get situated for the day. Bonus is that Thursday is fire prevention day for our kindergartners so the fire department will be back soon… but only for fun next time!

Conferences that were scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled. Teachers will reach out to schedule for tomorrow or Thursday night. We are also adding limited conferences on Tuesday afternoon to facilitate missed meetings tonight.

I sure love this school and I cannot thank you enough for your graciousness and kindness towards our staff today. When things go awry, it’s lovely to see how we can come together as a community. Thank you again, and we will see you all bright and early tomorrow!

All after school activities are cancelled. This included conferences. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the fire department activity in the building, at this time we will be releasing students for the day from the north field. This is out of an abundance of caution. Please arrive in the north student lot with your ID to pick up your children. Elementary families will need to line up at the gate on the west side of the outdoor fields, secondary parents to the middle gate. If you have students in both, please go to elementary gate.Thank you for your patience. When the building us clear, we will notify you to come get student belongings.

Due to a power outage, we have had to evacuate the building. At this time, we are safely out on the fields waiting for clearance from the fire department. We will update when we have more information.
