On Friday, the Ethos Club and Student Council hosted our first-ever student led assembly to recognize high school students who have demonstrated excellence in academics and character. Well done, everyone!
Good Afternoon TPCA Community -
The TPCA high school Principal, David Yu resigned his position. With only four months left in the school year I am not going to replace that position and will combine the middle and high school principals into one position; the Secondary Principal. The TPCA Secondary principal is Alycia Burns. She will speak with the High School students during Seminar today. Max Kleber, will take over the Behind the Classical Curtain for Parents sessions. Other tasks that Mr. Yu performed will be divided amongst the leadership team to ensure the smoothest transition we can for your students. As usual, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Dear TPCA Community,
Last evening the TPCA Board of Directors unanimously chose Alycia Burns as the sole finalist for the Executive Director position, starting at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. The Board of Directors spent an immense amount of time over the last four months developing the process of searching and hiring Mr. Mehsling’s replacement. Three separate committees each had a role in the process. The Screening Committee vetted fourteen external and internal candidates and moved select candidates to the Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee made up of Board Members, Parents, and Faculty interviewed candidates with the charge to move forward candidate(s) ready to serve as TPCA’s next Executive Director. The entire Board of Directors interviewed the candidate at length before voting to approve Mrs. Burns as the sole finalist.
C.R.S. § 24-6-402(3.5) provides in part, “the state or local public body shall make public the finalist or finalists under consideration for the position of chief executive officer no later than fourteen days prior to appointing or employing a finalist to fill the position.” TPCA’s website has more information regarding Mrs. Burns under the News Section. State statute requires that when an applicant becomes a finalist, all records submitted by the applicant shall be available for public inspection.

One of our favorite events of the year is the Tribute to Teachers award celebration sponsored by St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. We love it because it recognizes and honors our outstanding teachers for their excellence in teaching.
Please help by nominating a teacher who you believe exemplifies excellence for a Teacher of the Year Award.
