Welcome Sam Harris! We are excited to have her join our Elementary front office staff! Hi! I’m Sam and/or Sammi! I was born and raised in Colorado. I grew up on a mountain outside of Lyons, so I have a lot of love for the outdoors & nature! I hold high value to all the relationships in my life— family, friends, co-workers, mentors, etc. I have been working with, and around, kids since I was one myself. Something I love was watching them learn and grow. Paired with that love was an interest in what makes a person a human, so I explored that through higher education at Front Range Community College & CU Boulder and graduated with a double major in Psychology and Sociology!

Please give a welcome to our new 2nd grade teacher, Libby Heyl! Hello! I am so excited to be a part of the Twin Peaks community. This is my second year teaching and I am looking forward to the wonderful world of second grade. Previous to teaching I was a nanny and worked for Girl Scouts of Colorado. I have always been passionate about helping children learn and gain confidence in themselves. I am a Colorado native and my favorite place to be is exploring and camping the beautiful mountains. Outside of school I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with my family. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two amazing boys. I am excited to get to know everyone and have an amazing school year.

Welcome, Dr. Fritz! We're thrilled to have her joining our Secondary English team! Hi, my name is Dr. Megan Fritz, and I’m excited to join the staff at Twin Peaks as an 8th grade English teacher. I’m originally from Arkansas, but moved to Colorado over fourteen years ago. I attended a classical school from sixth grade through twelfth grade, and I love the depth of knowledge found in classical literature. My husband and I chose Twin Peaks Classical Academy for our three children who have been students in the elementary for the last three years, and we love the curriculum, culture, and community of the school. I love teaching students of any age from homeschooling our three children through the pandemic to teaching at the college level at Colorado State University. I consider myself to be a lifelong student and I love sharing what I’ve learned with others. During my free time I enjoy gardening and learning a lot of life lessons from our collection of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, quail, and our recently added miniature goats. I’m looking forward to getting to know the middle school students and helping them hone their reading, writing and rhetoric skills.

Please give a welcome to our new science teacher, Sebastian Roeder! You may recognize him as he is already our Men's soccer coach and we are now excited to have him join the team on staff! Hello, Twin Peaks! I'm thrilled to be joining the science faculty this year. I have a passion for science education fueled by a B.S. in Health Sciences, an M.A.T., and an M.S. in Exercise Science. (Plus, a PhD in Health Sciences is on the horizon!) When I'm not in the classroom (now in my 5th year!), you might find me exploring the world of science with my wife, Sarah, and our dog, Coco. Outside of science, I love getting lost in a good book, rocking out on the drums, or – no surprise here – chasing a soccer ball! Get ready for a year of engaging science exploration!

Here's a throwback to one of our favorite Twin Peaks traditions: At the end of the semester, middle school students join high schoolers in small group discussions surrounding the nature of fortitude. In order to develop ideas, students are drawing on their readings from History and English, making observations, and wrestling with what's necessary for fortitude to form within an individual and/or a community. It's become a tradition that we have cross-grade discussions in preparation for finals week, and we are always amazed at the level of engagement our students bring to these explorations. Proud day to be a Timberwolf!
